What we collect and why
Bill images and extracted values
The top identity band is removed on your device before text is read. The redacted image and extracted billing values may be processed to perform your audit. Account and meter numbers may remain when visible because they are needed for utility matching and dispute documents.
Profile and account data
If you create an account, we process your sign-in details, language, district, billing week, meter settings, and records you choose to save. Guest use remains available.
On-device and offline storage
Preferences, consent records, queued redacted scans, and audit verification data may be stored in your browser. Scan & Delete audit records normally remain in memory and disappear when the tab closes; an offline queue may remain until it syncs or you clear it.
Optional cloud syncing
Signed-in users may choose features that sync profile, meter, scan, consumption, and receipt records to secure cloud storage. Payment receipts are uploaded only when you use that feature.

Retention, sharing, and your choices
Retention. Device-only records remain until the tab, browser storage, or offline queue is cleared. Synced records remain while your account or the related feature is active, unless a longer period is needed for security, disputes, or law.
Sharing. We use service providers to operate sign-in, storage, text extraction, and ROBBY BOT. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Security. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security. Keep your device and account secure.
Your choices. You may use guest mode, review the payload, clear device data, avoid optional cloud features, or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing viotechgloballlc@gmail.com.
Children. Meter Mate is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise any minor’s use.
Changes. Material policy changes will be dated and may require renewed acceptance. Effective 17-09-2026.
